Modular, customisable tagging system for automatic, contactless detection of persons and objects underground.

The problem is well known and yet it is often ignored – also on the part of occupational safety: the recording of people entering or leaving a tunnel construction site by means of a nail board and the setting of markers works little or not at all. However, the construction management of tunnelling projects is obliged to maintain a system that can be used to determine who is currently underground – i.e. in the tunnel system – and who is not. The underground status only comes into play in the event of an accident and evacuation or rescue operation.

In order to detect people or objects without contact, everyone who enters a tunnel system must wear an RFID transponder (tag). The DULA-Link personal tags are comparable in size to credit cards and weigh just a few grams.

They can be worn with a strap around the neck, with a clip visible on the outside, with Velcro fastening in a helmet or simply in a pocket and emit an identification signal at short intervals.
